What’s happening around the club?
HAPPY NEW YEAR
Welcome to 2019. A new year and a new look for the newsletter. Let us know what you think on our facebook page or via email email@example.com.
We’d love to hear what you think and what you want to see in not only the newsletter but also for the club too.
STC CLUB SURVEY
In order to assist the club move forward into 2019 and beyond we would like some member feedback about how we are going as a club, what you think of what we offer as a club, what we could do better and any suggestions for the future. If you could please take 7 mins to fill out the survey in the link it would be greatly appreciated. SURVEY
We hope everyone has stayed safe through the heat these past few weeks, just as Benalla Tri Club and STC have tried to do by the unfortunate cancelling of events. These decisions are not taken lightly, but best interest of competitors, organisers, volunteers and spectators need to be of utmost importance. Just remember if you are out training in these hot conditions take extra water or electrolytes, do it in the cooler hours of the day (before 9am and after 7pm).
MEMBERSHIPS AVAILABLE 6mth or 8 week trial
If you know someone that has been thinking of joining the club and i just not sure of what is on offer or if a year membership is worth it there are two new options. So why not take advantage of these great offers and get to work on those new years resolutions (we all know you set one to be fitter in 2019!). Follow the link to find out more and sign up. Triathlon Victoria Lanches Tri2gether program.
Our very own committee member and junior coach Troy Watts successful in the appointment as local ambassador for the program.
TRI2gether is a school-based program that gives secondary school students aged 13 to 17 years the opportunity to get active by participating in swim, bike, run and triathlon.
The 6-week program targets students that are less active and aims to create an accessible, fun and socially-inclusive environment in the spirit of 'finish line, not finish time'.
Delivered by accredited triathlon coaches appointed as “TRI2gether Ambassadors”, the 12-session program consists of one swim session and one bike/run session per week held in the relative safety of pools, on spin bikes and in school grounds or at local leisure facilities with the end goal of students completing a mini 'fun' triathlon as an individual or in a team (2 or 3 students).
Why run TRI2gether?
• Opportunity to engage those less active students with a fresh challenge > engagement
• Structured program, delivered by triathlon experts > ambassadors
• Flexibility of program design to adapt to available facilities > training & racing
